I'm interested in contributing to research on marginalized and minoritized identity, especially ones linked to gender, sexuality, and more and how those identities and more are linked to/categorized in/used by cultural heritage organizations such as Galleries, Libraries, Archives and Museums.

Brian M. Watson (@brimwats) is a PhD. student at the University of British Columbia's [School of Library Archival and Information Studies] https://slais.ubc.ca/programs/degrees/phd/) and the Director of [HistSex.com](https://www.histsex.com), a freely-accessible open access resource for the history of sexuality. Additionally, they are the Archivist-Historian of the [Consensual Non-Monogamies](https://www.div44cnm.org/) taskforce of the [American Psychological
Association](https://www.apadivisions.org/division-44/leadership/task-forces/index) and contribute to [Homosaurus](http://homosaurus.org), an international
linked data vocabulary for LGBTQ terms.
In the past, they have published a book on the history of sexual representation, worked at the Kinsey Institute Library & Special Collections where they revised *[Sexual Nomenclature, A Thesaurus](https://musings.brimwats.com/tags/internship-diary/)*.
