My work uses digital story mapping to make visible narratives of Indigenous survivance in the form of community-defined success stories. By making these stories available in our communities we enhance access to narratives of assurgency that can be used as an empowering resource. My research further explores how self-determining narratives of Indigeneity reflect and contribute to the discourse on Indigenous nationhood, or sovereignty.
