Dr Stefan Sunandan Honisch

Postdoctoral Fellow

Theatre and Film

Faculty of Arts

My postdoctoral research about the Deafblind writer, activist, and educator Helen Keller focuses on her writings about music, drawing on archival materials available online through the American Foundation for the Blind, Perkins School for the Blind, as well as other repositories. This research engages questions about representation and accessibility for disabled researchers, teachers, and students. I am interested in two Modes of Engagement in particular: "Pedagogical initiatives" and "Integration with the Arts."
