I would love to explore the history of community-based education initiatives on a global scale, especially those that were planned explicitly as a response to colonialism and global capitalism.

RESEARCH BIO: I am a second year PhD student at the Department of Educational Studies, UBC. My research focus is on the historical connection between ideology and educational practice, and my dissertation focuses on the global history of anarchist schools. In this framework, I examine various schools founded by anarchist intellectuals in various regions, in order to highlight the negotiations that took place among intellectuals as they aimed to educate for a future anarchist society.
